Rohde & Schwarz has decided to become a member of the AI-RAN Alliance in order to collaborate with major industry leaders like NVIDIA, Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung. This partnership will allow Rohde & Schwarz to enhance its involvement in the creation of AI-focused testing methods for air interfaces. The company will bring its advanced testing solutions and extensive experience to the alliance to help improve future wireless networks.

Established in February 2024 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the AI-RAN Alliance aims to use the technology expertise and leadership of its members to concentrate on three main areas of research and innovation as the industry progresses towards 6G.

Before becoming a part of the alliance, Rohde & Schwarz worked together with NVIDIA's research team on research related to 6G technology. They developed a test setup to explore new ways of implementing neural receivers that could enhance performance and network efficiency in the air interface. By joining the alliance, Rohde & Schwarz is showing their dedication to shaping the future of wireless communications through innovative approaches and partnerships.
