Saelig Unveils Siglent SPD4000X Series: The Ultimate Solution for Advanced Testing and Industrial Applications

Saelig has released the new Siglent SPD4000X Series, which consists of four-channel programmable DC power supplies with 400W of power. These power supplies have been designed to cater to a wider range of scientific, testing, and industrial uses by providing more channels and increased power capabilities.

Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Siglent SPD4000X Series, which consists of 4-channel Programmable Linear DC Power Supplies. There are three models available with varying output power: 240W, 285W, or 400W. These power supplies offer precise control with a minimum resolution of 1mV/1mA on each of the four programmable outputs. By simply clicking a button, two channels can be connected in series or parallel to increase the output voltage or current. For example, the SPD4306X can provide 60V/6A in series, while the SPD4121X can deliver 12V/20A in parallel. The 4-wire remote voltage sense feature allows for compensation of up to 0.6V to ensure accurate voltage delivery to the device being tested. The SPD4000X series features a 4.3” color TFT-LCD display with five-digit voltage and current readings, offering a precise setting and read-back resolution of 1mV/1mA. Overall, the series includes three models.

The four output channels of the SPD4000X series can be controlled independently and turned on or off at the same time. These channels can be programmed to create multiple sequences of voltage, current, and time to fulfill complex testing needs. Specific sequences can mimic various voltage and current test scenarios, such as sudden changes, brownouts, interruptions, and more. For more intricate sequences that are difficult to edit, they can be easily imported via USB to enhance testing efficiency. This series has a rapid output response time of less than 50 microseconds, allowing for quick adjustments to output voltage changes in response to dynamic load currents. Output response refers to how the output voltage changes with variations in load current.

With the SPD4000X series, users can save various results to either local or external memory and can also capture dynamic test conditions by taking a screen shot. This power supply series comes with USB and LAN communication interfaces as standard, and there is an optional USB-GPIB converter available as well. The embedded Web Server allows for direct control and monitoring of the supply through a web browser, eliminating the need for software drivers or applications.

Main characteristics include:

The SPD4000X series power supplies are versatile tools that are ideal for testing devices in various industries such as new energy, manufacturing, wireless communications, consumer electronics, laboratories, and education. This series from Siglent offers increased power, flexibility, accuracy, and an additional fourth channel compared to their previous 3-channel DC power supplies. The SPDX Power Supplies can be purchased from Siglent's technical distributor, Saelig Company, Inc.
