Singtel and Hitachi Digital Join Forces to Drive Industrial AI Solutions Acceleration and Enterprise Transformation

Singtel and Hitachi Digital have joined forces to speed up the development of industrial AI solutions. Through their collaboration, they aim to facilitate digital transformation in enterprises by integrating Hitachi's industrial applications with Singtel's Paragon ecosystem.

Singtel, a prominent telecommunications technology company in Asia, and Hitachi Digital, a provider of comprehensive digital transformation services and technology solutions from Hitachi, have revealed a new partnership. This collaboration will combine Hitachi's advanced AI knowledge with Singtel's Paragon platform, which is an integrated platform for managing 5G, edge computing, and cloud services.

Hitachi Digital will be implementing Paragon at their Santa Clara R&D Labs in the Americas, and then testing it out in a U.S. factory to see how it can be used for Industry 4.0 applications. The pilot program will focus on confirming that Hitachi's AI applications related to quality control, safety in the workplace, training, and maintenance can work effectively on Paragon. Additionally, the trial will look at how Paragon can be integrated with Hitachi's industry-specific cloud applications and digital services to help businesses overcome challenges related to connectivity and productivity.

Hitachi's ready-to-use Industrial AI applications, along with the Paragon platform's abilities to manage networks and orchestrate multiple cloud services, will be combined to develop various Paragon-related solutions. These solutions will assist clients in enhancing and speeding up their cloud operations. Hitachi Digital Services will then offer these solutions to customers as an authorized System Integrator for Singtel Paragon. This will provide a distinct value proposition for businesses seeking to utilize various network protocols for digital transformation in industrial environments.

According to Mr. Bill Chang, who is the CEO of Singtel's Digital InfraCo, businesses in the rapidly expanding Industry 4.0 sector rely on dependable, high-quality connectivity to maintain efficient operations. He expressed satisfaction in partnering with Hitachi Digital and using Paragon to handle Hitachi's connectivity and cloud requirements in their manufacturing facilities. By combining Hitachi's advanced AI technology with Paragon's system, they aim to improve their range of solutions for manufacturing companies and help them smoothly transition to AI-powered operations.

According to Mr. Frank Antonysamy, the Chief Growth Officer at Hitachi Digital, Hitachi has made significant investments in merging various technologies such as digital, data, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and connectivity to create innovative solutions for Industry Cloud deployments. Their applications and consulting services have played a crucial role in the global digitalization trend affecting businesses. The partnership with Singtel is expected to enhance the capabilities of future technologies in corporate settings, leading to higher productivity levels for customers.

Companies have faced challenges when implementing industrial 5G due to complicated and disjointed solutions. The integration of AI has further complicated this process as organizations aim to speed up the adoption of AI in these situations. Singtel Paragon offers a complete solution that allows companies to connect to the 5G network and efficiently deploy edge computing and AI on telecommunication infrastructure. This helps reduce time-to-market and shorten the innovation process.
