Red Lion Unveils N-Tron NT116: A Robust 16-Port Industrial Ethernet Switch for Harsh Environments
Red Lion has introduced the N-Tron NT116, a 16-Port Industrial Ethernet Switch designed for tough industrial settings. This switch offers exceptional performance and dependability in challenging conditions.
Red Lion, a company that creates cutting-edge technologies to help industrial organizations access, connect, and display their data, has released a new product called the N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. This switch is specifically designed for industrial settings where reliable performance is crucial, even in tough conditions.
The NT116 unmanaged switch is a reliable and high-performing device designed for data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control. It is compact in size and features 16 copper ports with high performance (10/100BaseTX RJ45) in a durable industrial metal enclosure. The NT116 is built to withstand shock and vibration, with all ports equipped with ESD and surge protection. Users can expect exceptional reliability with a 1.2M hour MTBF rating, all in a slim and space-saving design that operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.
The NT116 offers strong network support with the ability to handle communication speeds of up to 3.2 Gb/s. It utilizes store-and-forward technology and can operate in both full and half duplex modes. Redundancy is ensured through the provision of two power inputs accepting 10-49 VDC.
The N-Tron NT116 is an upgraded version of Red Lion's 116TX unmanaged industrial ethernet switch. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3 standards and has certifications for marine, railway, and rolling stock industries. The new switch is also certified for UL Ordinary and Hazardous locations, as well as ATEX and IECEx.
The N-Tron NT116 by Red Lion simplifies the collection of important performance data. With its strong and durable design, it can handle the harsh conditions often present in factory floor control networks and various industries such as oil and gas, utilities, wastewater treatment, alternative energy, rail, intelligent traffic control, and transportation.
Diane Davis, a Product Manager, stated that when industrial equipment operators and business leaders can easily and quickly access their data, they are able to benefit more from it. The N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial ethernet switch reduces downtime and increases throughput to enhance efficiency and boost operational performance.
