They are actively developing digitalization in the "Belt and Road" project, turning ideas into actions and visions into reality.

The "AI+" initiative is driving the advancement of digitalization in various industries.

In recent years, AI has become a key focus of national strategy. It has not only advanced in technological development, data-driven solutions, and policy support, but has also become more integrated across different industries. The Government Report for this year introduces the "AI+" initiative for the first time. CITIC Group is taking advantage of the strategic opportunities presented by AI, promoting deeper integration of AI with industrial development, and speeding up the development of new-quality productivity and modernized industrial digitalization systems. At this year's WAIC, CITIC Group announced the launch of the "AI+ Action Plan" campaign during a press conference, which is a collaborative effort involving CITIC Telecom and its subsidiaries such as CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom.

During the "CITIC Solutions Accelerate Industry Transformation" session, Mr. Adan Zhan, Senior Director of Data Science and Innovation at China Entercom, gave a speech on "Global DICT Service Solutions." He highlighted the importance of enterprise globalization in the face of new development initiatives like the "Belt and Road" and "Going Global." Zhan stressed the need for enterprises to focus on optimizing and complying with value propositions. This involves transitioning from exporting products to building production capacity, which will lead to a comprehensive transformation of business models. To achieve this, it is crucial to enhance "Going Global" models by leveraging advantages and offering flexible DICT services such as "Cloud, Network, Security." Additionally, using technologies like AI can empower enterprises and create tailored application scenarios for different industries, ultimately generating new value for businesses.

Furthermore, CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom have partnered with CITIC Dicastal, a significant player in CITIC Group's advanced intelligent manufacturing sector and a top aluminum wheel manufacturer globally. Together, they have introduced a new initiative called the "AI+" Action Plan to work together on creating a large-scale industry model for aluminum automotive components.

CITIC Dicastal is known as the first factory in the aluminum wheel industry to focus on high-end, intelligent, and environmentally friendly development. They are actively involved in the "Belt and Road" Initiative and are helping Chinese enterprises expand globally. Chief Vice President of CITIC Telecom CPC, Mr. Layton Lok, expressed excitement about collaborating with CITIC Dicastal to create a secure and efficient data network for their globalized and digital operations.

The collaboration between two parties aims to create a new industry model for aluminum automotive parts using AI and big data technologies, combined with CITIC Dicastal's extensive experience in manufacturing. This collaboration will enable AI-driven manufacturing, process optimization, R&D design, operational decision-making, and green and low-carbon development in various industries. It will improve production efficiency and intelligence, as well as upgrade the entire smart manufacturing industry chain. China Entercom will provide "AI+ Security" capabilities to enhance real-time response alerts and establish connectivity among CITIC Dicastal's global factories while monitoring information security threats on a global scale, particularly in the Belt and Road region. These efforts will strengthen information security and usher in a new era for the industry.

The partnership between China and France is creating opportunities for new advancements in digitalization.

The main focus of CITIC Group's exhibit zone is the "China-France Corridor", highlighting CITIC Telecom's efforts in supporting businesses in China and France. Mr. Dickson Ip, the Chief Technology Officer, mentioned that this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Europe is a significant area for CITIC Telecom's resources, leading to the creation of the "China-France Corridor" exhibition to showcase the collaboration in digital innovation between the two nations.

Over the years, CITIC Telecom has strengthened its partnership with French businesses and has achieved success in supporting and attracting them to enter the Chinese market. This collaboration spans across various industries including luxury brands, automotive parts manufacturers, media companies, and professional services providers. Through its integrated platform of "Cloud, Network, Security", CITIC Telecom has facilitated the entry of several prominent French companies into the Chinese market, helping them establish a strong presence and offer their services. Additionally, CITIC Telecom is committed to assisting Chinese companies in expanding globally and accessing the French market by offering comprehensive ICT resources and local technical assistance. This enables secure and efficient communication between Chinese and French businesses, contributing to the growth of the global digital economy.

One example of how AI and corporate business can be closely integrated is a project by a multinational manufacturing company. The China Entercom team used AI and big data to create a material forecasting solution for the customer's global supply chain, aiming to cut costs and enhance efficiency. They aim to improve the accuracy of the forecasting system to more than 80% within the next 6 months. The solution takes into account market trends, past sales data, seasonal patterns, and economic indicators, using machine learning algorithms to predict changes in market demand.

Mr. Dickson Ip stated that CITIC Telecom is committed to being a bridge and connection between different companies, particularly in the areas of smart manufacturing, smart retail, and smart cities. They aim to use digital technologies to find new ways to collaborate with French companies.

Enhancing the use of digital technology in the "Belt and Road" Initiative through new accomplishments and boosting progress across different industries.

Interconnectivity is vital for the success of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. CITIC Telecom has been actively involved in implementing the Initiative since its inception, following a strategy of expanding globally and entering the Chinese market. In addition to enhancing its own global ICT resources, CITIC Telecom is also focusing on integrating new-generation technologies like AI, cloud computing, network, and security. The company is dedicated to supporting the digital transformation of global businesses under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, assisting Chinese and foreign enterprises in various industries with their global development.

CITIC Telecom operates in 160 countries and regions across 5 continents globally. They have a widespread network connecting almost 170 points of presence, 21 cloud service centers, over 30 data centers, three 24×7 Security Operations Centers (SOCs), and more than 600 service partners worldwide. This allows them to provide top-notch delivery services to customers and strengthen their Global-Local approach.

The digitalization advancements in the "Belt and Road" Initiative have benefitted Chinese companies like CRRC Corporation, CITIC Dicastal, NIO, Zijin Mining, and Anton Oilfield Services Group by helping them expand their presence globally, particularly in countries along the "Belt and Road". This has led to improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, and the implementation of cutting-edge technology. Additionally, CITIC Telecom, with its extensive experience in China, is assisting foreign enterprises in translating technology into business success and achieving sustainable growth and stability in the Chinese market.

CITIC Telecom has helped more than 3,000 businesses with expanding internationally and entering the Chinese market. They have also provided services to over 40,000 local businesses. Additionally, over 200 Fortune 500 companies are clients of CITIC Telecom.

According to Mr. Layton Lok, both Chinese companies expanding globally and foreign companies entering the Chinese market have positive effects on the local economy and overall development. For example, CITIC Dicastal's project in Morocco has provided over 1,800 job opportunities for local residents. Additionally, a French beauty company has established its North Asia headquarters in Shanghai, utilizing digital solutions to improve market presence in the Yangtze River Delta region and support integrated development in the area.
