Basler Introduces New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras for High-End Applications in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler has introduced its new line scan cameras, the racer 2 L 8k and 16k models, which are the first in a new series of line scan cameras. These cameras feature Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides other necessary components for a line scan vision system, like lighting and lenses, allowing for the implementation of advanced applications such as quality assurance in battery production.

Basler AG is introducing a new monochrome version of the Basler racer 2 L line scan camera, featuring a CXP-12 interface, at a great price/performance ratio. This camera uses advanced Gpixel sensors to provide resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates up to 200 kHz. By utilizing Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can reduce CPU load during pre-processing. Basler also offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive range of products allows for easy integration and maximum compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries

The battery production industry is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that surrounds the battery electrodes to ensure the battery works optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is necessary. The camera must not only be accurate but also have a high line frequency to keep up with production speed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for effective and fast detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics (for inspecting wafers and PCBs), logistics (for scanning barcodes), web inspection (for checking print quality), and rail inspection.
