Basler Introduces New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras for High-End Applications such as Battery Production

Basler has introduced new line scan cameras with 8k and 16k resolution, known as the racer 2 L series. These cameras feature advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides all necessary components for a complete line scan vision system, including lighting and lenses. This allows for the implementation of high-quality applications, like ensuring quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is introducing a new monochrome version of their Basler racer 2 L line scan camera, which features a CXP-12 interface and a great price/performance ratio. Equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors, this camera can achieve resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can reduce the CPU load during pre-processing. Basler also offers all necessary components for a complete CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive range of products allows for easy integration and high compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for various high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that covers the surface of battery electrodes to ensure the battery works optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with a high line frequency is needed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for efficient and speedy detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in the logistics sector for capturing barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like print quality control, and in rail inspection.
