Basler Introduces New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Vision Systems in Battery Production and Beyond
Basler has introduced new line scan cameras with resolutions of 8k and 16k, known as the racer 2 L series. These cameras feature Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also offers other necessary components for a line scan vision system, like lighting and lenses, enabling the implementation of advanced applications such as quality assurance in battery manufacturing.
Basler AG is introducing the new Basler racer 2 L line scan camera in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. The camera features state-of-the-art Gpixel sensors, offering resolutions of 8k or 16k with line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can reduce CPU load in their applications through pre-processing solutions. Basler also provides all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive range of products enables easy integration and maximum compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for high-performance image processing applications.
Intended use: line scan cameras designed for inspecting batteries
The battery production industry is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high-quality layers around battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is necessary. In addition to accuracy, a high line frequency is needed to match the speed of production systems. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for efficient and fast detection of faults.
These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics (for inspecting wafers and PCBs), logistics (for scanning barcodes), web inspection (such as print quality control), and rail inspection.
