Basler Launches New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Vision Systems in Battery Production and Beyond
Basler has introduced new CXP-12 line scan cameras with resolutions of 8k and 16k. These racer 2 L cameras are the first in a new series from Basler and come with advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Along with the cameras, Basler also provides essential components like lighting and lenses for a complete line scan vision system. This allows for the implementation of advanced applications, such as ensuring quality control in battery manufacturing.
Basler AG is expanding its line scan camera offerings with the introduction of the new Basler racer 2 L, which is a monochrome version featuring a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. This camera utilizes advanced Gpixel sensors to provide resolutions of 8k or 16k, along with line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can access a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU load in their application. Basler offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making integration simple and cost-effective for high-performance image processing applications.
Intended use: line scan cameras specifically designed for inspecting batteries.
The battery production industry is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that covers the surface of battery electrodes for the battery to work optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is necessary. In addition to accuracy, a high line frequency is needed to keep up with the speed of production systems. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for efficient and rapid detection of faults.
These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for tasks like inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for capturing barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like print quality control, and in rail inspection.
