Basler Launches New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with High Resolution for Advanced Vision Systems in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler has introduced new CXP-12 line scan cameras with resolutions of 8k and 16k. These cameras, part of the racer 2 L series, feature the latest Gpixel sensors and CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides all necessary components for a line scan vision system, including lighting and lenses, allowing for the implementation of advanced applications like quality assurance in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is broadening its selection of line scan cameras by introducing the new Basler racer 2 L in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface at an attractive price/performance ratio. Equipped with cutting-edge Gpixel sensors, this camera can achieve resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can benefit from a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU workload. Basler offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, such as lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making it a convenient one-stop provider. This range of products has been thoroughly tested for seamless integration and high compatibility at a cost-effective price, which is advantageous for various high-performance image processing tasks.

Intended use: line scan cameras specifically designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer surrounding battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with machine vision system is needed. The camera must have high accuracy and a high line frequency to keep up with production speed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these key requirements, allowing for efficient and fast detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for tasks like examining wafers and printed circuit boards, in logistics for scanning barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like printing quality control, and in inspecting railways.
