Basler Launches New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with High Resolution for Quality Assurance in Battery Production and Other High-Performance Applications

Basler introduces new CXP-12 line scan cameras with 8k and 16k resolution. The racer 2 L models are the first in a new series of line scan cameras from Basler, featuring advanced Gpixel sensors and CXP-12 interface technology. Along with the cameras, Basler also provides essential components like lighting and lenses for a complete line scan vision system. These cameras are ideal for high-end applications, such as ensuring quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is expanding its line scan camera offerings with the release of the new Basler racer 2 L in monochrome version, featuring a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. The camera uses cutting-edge Gpixel sensors to provide resolutions of 8k or 16k with line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can reduce CPU load during pre-processing. Basler also offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive range allows for easy integration and maximum compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras specifically designed for inspecting batteries.

The battery production industry is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that covers the battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the tiniest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is needed. In addition to accuracy, a high line frequency is necessary to keep up with the production system's speed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for efficient and quick detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics (for inspecting wafers and PCBs), logistics (for capturing barcodes), web inspection (such as print quality checks), and rail inspection.
