Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras for High-End Vision Systems: A Game-Changer in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler introduces a new series of line scan cameras, the racer 2 L 8k and 16k models, featuring advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Along with the cameras, Basler also provides essential components for a complete line scan vision system, including lighting and lenses. These cameras are ideal for high-end applications like ensuring quality in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG has expanded its line scan camera offerings with the introduction of the new Basler racer 2 L in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface, offering a great balance between price and performance. Equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors, this camera can achieve resolutions of 8k or 16k with line rates of up to 200 kHz. By utilizing Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can access a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU workload in applications. Basler also provides all necessary components for a complete CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive offering streamlines integration and ensures maximum compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The battery production industry is expanding quickly. It is crucial to have a high-quality layer around the battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even tiny defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with high accuracy and line frequency is needed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these criteria, allowing for effective and efficient fault detection in battery production.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics (for inspecting wafers and PCBs), logistics (for capturing barcodes), web inspection (such as print quality assessment), and rail inspection.
