Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Vision Systems in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler has introduced their new line of CXP-12 line scan cameras, featuring resolutions of 8k and 16k. These cameras, called racer 2 L, are the first models in the series and come equipped with Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides other necessary components for a line scan vision system, such as lighting and lenses, allowing for the implementation of advanced applications like quality assurance in battery production.

Basler AG has introduced the new Basler racer 2 L line scan camera in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface, offering a great balance between price and performance. Equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors, this camera can achieve resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can optimize pre-processing tasks and reduce CPU usage in their applications. Basler also offers all necessary components for a complete CXP-12 line scan image processing system, such as lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making integration easy and cost-effective for high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain a high quality layer on the surface of battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with machine vision system is necessary. In addition to accuracy, a high line frequency is also important to keep up with production speed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these key requirements, allowing for efficient and quick detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for scanning barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like print quality control, and in rail inspection.
