Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with High Resolution for Advanced Vision System Applications
Basler introduces a new range of line scan cameras, the racer 2 L 8k and 16k models, which feature advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. These cameras are the first in Basler's new line scan camera series and are accompanied by essential components such as lighting and lenses for creating a complete line scan vision system. These cameras are ideal for high-end applications like quality control in battery manufacturing.
Basler AG is expanding its line scan camera options with the introduction of the new Basler racer 2 L in monochrome, featuring a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. Equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors, this camera offers resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, a pre-processing solution is available to reduce CPU load during application use. Basler also offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive and tested range allows for easy integration and maximum compatibility at an affordable cost, making it a valuable option for high-performance image processing applications.
Intended use: line scan cameras specifically designed for examining batteries.
The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to have a high-quality layer surrounding the battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is needed. Along with accuracy, a high line frequency is necessary to keep pace with production speed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for effective and speedy fault detection.
These cameras are commonly used in various industries, such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for capturing barcodes, in print for web inspection, and for inspecting rails.
