Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with High Resolution for Advanced Vision Systems in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler introduces its new line of CXP-12 line scan cameras, featuring resolutions of 8k and 16k. The racer 2 L models come equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also offers essential components for a complete line scan vision system, such as lighting and lenses. These cameras are ideal for high-end applications like quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is broadening its selection of line scan cameras with the introduction of the new Basler racer 2 L in monochrome, equipped with a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. This camera, utilizing advanced Gpixel sensors, offers resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By utilizing Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can implement a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU workload in their application. Basler also offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, such as lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making integration simple and cost-effective. This comprehensive range of products has been extensively tested to ensure maximum compatibility and ease of use, making it a preferred choice for high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that covers the surface of battery electrodes to ensure the battery operates optimally. To detect even tiny defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high-quality camera is needed. In addition to accuracy, a high line frequency is necessary to keep pace with production speeds. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these key requirements, allowing for efficient and quick detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in a variety of industries, such as electronics (for inspecting wafers and PCBs), logistics (for capturing barcodes), printing (for web inspection), and rail maintenance.
