The "AI+" Initiative aims to enhance and support the digitalization of industries.

In recent years, AI has become a key focus of national strategy. It has not only advanced in technological development, data-driven solutions, and policy support, but has also become more integrated across various industries. This year, the Government Report introduced the "AI+" initiative for the first time. CITIC Group is taking advantage of the strategic opportunity of AI to promote its integration with industrial development and accelerate the growth of new-quality productivity and modernized industrial digitalization. At this year's WAIC, CITIC Group announced the launch of the "AI+ Action Plan" campaign during a press conference, in collaboration with CITIC Telecom and its subsidiaries such as CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom.

During the "CITIC Solutions Accelerate Industry Transformation" session, Mr. Adan Zhan, the Senior Director of Data Science and Innovation at China Entercom, gave a speech on "Global DICT Service Solutions". He highlighted the importance of enterprise globalization focusing on optimizing and complying with value propositions under new development initiatives like the "Belt and Road" and "Going Global". Enterprises should evolve their "Going Global" strategies from exporting products to enhancing production capacity, leading to a comprehensive transformation of their business models. It is essential to utilize advantages to offer flexible and modularized capabilities in DICT services like "Cloud, Network, Security", and leverage emerging technologies such as AI to empower enterprises and create new values tailored to different industries.

Furthermore, CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom have partnered with CITIC Dicastal, a major player in CITIC Group's advanced intelligent manufacturing sector and a top aluminum wheel manufacturer globally, to introduce a new "AI+" Action Plan. This initiative aims to work together in creating a large-scale industry model for aluminum automotive components.

Being the first manufacturer of lighthouses in the aluminum wheel industry worldwide, CITIC Dicastal is committed to promoting advanced, smart, and environmentally-friendly development. The company actively supports the “Belt and Road” Initiative and has started the process of expanding globally for Chinese businesses. Mr. Layton Lok, Chief Vice President of CITIC Telecom CPC, expressed excitement about partnering with CITIC Dicastal to establish a secure, efficient, and quick data network for the company's globalized, digital, and intelligent operations.

A joint effort between two parties will create a new model for manufacturing aluminum automotive parts, using AI and big data technologies along with CITIC Dicastal's expertise in manufacturing. This collaboration aims to improve efficiency and intelligence in production, as well as upgrade the entire smart manufacturing industry chain. China Entercom will provide AI-powered security features, enhancing real-time response alerts and global factory interconnection for CITIC Dicastal. This partnership will also focus on monitoring information security threats, especially in the Belt and Road region, to strengthen the foundation of information security and usher in a new era for the industry.

The "China-France Corridor" is promoting the growth of new digitalization initiatives.

In the main area of the CITIC Group's exhibit, there is a display called the "China-France Corridor" which highlights the work of CITIC Telecom in supporting businesses in China and France. The Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Dickson Ip, mentioned that this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. Europe is a significant region for CITIC Telecom, so they created the "China-France Corridor" exhibit to showcase the advancements in digital innovation through cooperation between the two countries.

CITIC Telecom has strengthened its partnership with French businesses over time and has made significant progress in helping them enter the Chinese market. Through its integrated platform of "Cloud, Network, Security", CITIC Telecom has facilitated the expansion of various industries from luxury brands to automotive parts manufacturers to media companies into China. Additionally, CITIC Telecom is also focused on assisting Chinese companies in expanding globally and accessing the French market by offering ICT resources and technical support. This collaboration aims to promote strong connections between Chinese and French businesses and contribute to the growth of the global digital economy.

One example of AI and business integration is seen in a project by a multinational manufacturing company. The China Entercom team is using AI and big data to create a material forecasting solution for the customer's supply chain, aiming to lower costs and enhance efficiency. They aim to improve the accuracy of the forecasting system to more than 80% within the next 6 months. The solution takes into account market trends, past sales data, seasonal patterns, and economic indicators, using machine learning to predict changes in market demand.

Mr. Dickson Ip stated that CITIC Telecom aims to serve as a connection and facilitator, leveraging advanced digital technologies to seek out new partnership opportunities with French businesses in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, retail, and urban development.

Boosting digital transformation in the "Belt and Road" Initiative through new accomplishments and enhancing progress for different industries.

Interconnectivity is the main focus of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. CITIC Telecom has been actively participating in the initiative since its launch, following the strategies of "Going Global" and "Entering China." In addition to expanding and improving its global ICT resources, CITIC Telecom is also working on integrating new-generation technologies such as AI, cloud, network, and security. The digitalization efforts in the "Belt and Road" Initiative have led to Chinese companies like CRRC Corporation, CITIC Dicastal, NIO, Zijin Mining, and Anton Oilfield Services Group expanding their global presence in countries along the initiative. This has helped them improve their operations, lower costs, increase efficiency, adopt advanced technology, and grow their market reach worldwide. Additionally, CITIC Telecom, with its extensive experience in China, is assisting foreign companies in translating technology into business success and achieving sustainable growth and stability in the Chinese market.

CITIC Telecom has supported over 3,000 businesses in expanding internationally and entering the Chinese market, as well as provided services to over 40,000 local enterprise clients. Additionally, CITIC Telecom counts more than 200 Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.

According to Mr. Layton Lok, when Chinese companies expand globally or foreign companies enter the Chinese market, it benefits the local economy and promotes mutual growth. For example, CITIC Dicastal's project in Morocco has provided over 1,800 job opportunities for the local community. Additionally, a French-owned beauty company has established its North Asia headquarters in Shanghai, utilizing digital solutions to enhance market reach in the Yangtze River Delta region and support integrated development in the area.
