Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras for High-Performance Applications like Battery Production

Basler has introduced a new series of line scan cameras, starting with the racer 2 L 8k and 16k models. These cameras feature advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also offers various components needed for a line scan vision system, like lighting and lenses, enabling the implementation of high-quality applications such as ensuring quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is enlarging their selection of line scan cameras with the introduction of the new Basler racer 2 L, which is a monochrome camera that comes with a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. This camera utilizes advanced Gpixel sensors to offer resolutions of 8k or 16k along with line rates of up to 200 kHz. When paired with Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, a pre-processing solution is provided to help reduce the CPU load in applications. Basler also offers all the necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system as a single source provider, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This comprehensive range of products has been extensively tested to ensure easy integration and maximum compatibility at a cost-effective price point, making it a valuable advantage for various high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for the purpose of inspecting batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain a high quality layer around the surface of battery electrodes for the battery to function at its best. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with high accuracy and line frequency is needed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these requirements, allowing for effective and speedy fault detection in battery production.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for tasks like inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for scanning barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like print quality control, and in railway inspection.
