Basler Launches New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Vision Applications in Battery Production and Beyond

Basler is introducing new line scan cameras, the racer 2 L 8k and 16k models, which are the first in their new series. These cameras come with advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides essential components like lighting and lenses for a complete line scan vision system. This allows for the implementation of sophisticated applications, such as ensuring quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is expanding its line of line scan cameras by introducing the new Basler racer 2 L in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface at a great price. This camera uses advanced Gpixel sensors to provide resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. When paired with Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, a pre-processing solution is available to reduce CPU usage. Basler also offers all necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, such as lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions. This range of products allows for easy integration and high compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it ideal for many high-performance image processing applications.

Intended use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to have a high-quality layer around the battery electrodes to ensure the battery works optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a high line frequency is necessary. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these requirements, allowing for effective and fast fault detection in battery production.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in the logistics sector for capturing barcodes, in web inspection for tasks like print quality control, and in rail inspection.
