This system, known for its high-speed capabilities, was used in a mobile form within a Mercedes Sprinter to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the event, including the audience, drivers, and crews. Aaronia's software, RTSA-Suite PRO, is crucial in this process as it can recognize most commercially available drones, take control of them if needed, and safely land them. Authorized security authorities can access all this data through a mobile app, ensuring they are aware of the drone's location and the operator's location in real time and can respond accordingly.

Stephan Kraschansky, the CEO of Aaronia Austria, mentioned that they have observed multiple drones flying near restricted areas where flying is prohibited. They had to step in and intervene several times to ensure safety. Most of the time, warning the pilots was sufficient, but in some instances, they had to take control of the drones and land them safely to prevent any potential risks. Security officials also handled the drone pilots during these incidents.

To guarantee the protection of spectators and drivers from unauthorized drone activity, measures were put in place throughout the event. The weekend was characterized by collisions on the race track involving Formula 1 cars, leading to an exhilarating race weekend in which George Russell claimed the first win of the season for the Mercedes team with a joyful third place finish.

The Aaronia specialists showcased a drone detection system that is quick, dependable, and effective, setting their own record in the process. They achieved a lap time of 7:14.29 in the Mercedes Sprinter, making them the fastest mobile drone detection system in Spielberg. Their lap time was only 6:06.60 behind the fastest lap of the race, which was set by Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin.
