Basler Unveils New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Vision Applications

Basler has introduced the new racer 2 L 8k and 16k line scan cameras, which are the first models in their new line scan camera series. These cameras feature advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides all necessary components for a line scan vision system, such as lighting and lenses, enabling the implementation of high-quality applications like quality assurance in battery production.

Basler AG is expanding its lineup of line scan cameras by introducing the new Basler racer 2 L in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface, offering a great balance between price and performance. This camera features advanced Gpixel sensors that allow for resolutions of 8k or 16k and line rates of up to 200 kHz. By utilizing Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can benefit from a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU workload in applications. Basler also offers all the necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, such as lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making integration easy and cost-effective. This comprehensive range of products has been extensively tested to ensure maximum compatibility, making it an ideal choice for high-performance image processing applications.

Targeted use: line scan cameras designed for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain high quality in the layer that covers the battery electrodes to ensure the battery works efficiently. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful camera with a high line frequency is needed. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these requirements, allowing for effective and quick detection of faults.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for capturing barcodes, in web inspection for print quality control, and in rail inspection.
