Basler Introduces New CXP-12 Line Scan Cameras with 8k and 16k Resolution for High-End Applications such as Battery Production Quality Assurance

Basler introduces new line scan cameras, the racer 2 L 8k and 16k, which are the first models in their new line scan camera series. These cameras feature advanced Gpixel sensors and a CXP-12 interface. Basler also provides all necessary components for a line scan vision system, including lighting and lenses, enabling the implementation of high-quality applications like quality control in battery manufacturing.

Basler AG is enhancing its collection of line scan cameras by introducing the new Basler racer 2 L in a monochrome version with a CXP-12 interface at a great price/performance ratio. This camera, equipped with advanced Gpixel sensors, can achieve resolutions of 8k or 16k with line rates reaching up to 200 kHz. By using Basler frame grabbers and VisualApplets software for FPGA programming, users can benefit from a pre-processing solution that reduces the CPU workload in their applications. Basler also offers all the necessary components for a CXP-12 line scan image processing system, including lighting, lenses, cables, and cooling solutions, making it a one-stop shop for customers. This comprehensive range ensures easy integration and high compatibility at a cost-effective price, making it an advantageous option for various high-performance image processing tasks.

Intended use: Line scan cameras designed specifically for examining batteries.

The market for battery production is expanding quickly. It is crucial to maintain a high quality layer around the battery electrodes to ensure the battery functions optimally. To detect even the smallest defects on the electrodes during production, a powerful machine vision system with a camera that has high accuracy and line frequency is necessary. Basler's racer 2 L line scan cameras meet these essential criteria, allowing for efficient and speedy fault detection in battery production.

These cameras are commonly used in various industries such as electronics for inspecting wafers and PCBs, in logistics for capturing barcodes, in print for web inspection, and in rail for inspection purposes.
