The "AI+" Initiative is focused on enabling the advancement of digitalization in various industries.

In recent years, there has been a significant emphasis on AI as a national strategy. It has shown progress in technological advancements, data-driven solutions, and policy support, as well as increased integration across different industries. The Government Report this year introduces the "AI+" initiative for the first time, with CITIC Group taking advantage of the strategic opportunities AI offers. They are working to integrate AI deeply into industrial development, promote new-quality productivity, and modernize industrial digitalization. At the WAIC event, CITIC Group announced the launch of the "AI+ Action Plan" campaign during a press conference, in collaboration with CITIC Telecom and subsidiaries like CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom.

At the “CITIC Solutions Accelerate Industry Transformation” session, China Entercom’s Senior Director of Data Science and Innovation, Mr. Adan Zhan, gave a speech on "Global DICT Service Solutions". He highlighted the importance of enterprise globalization in alignment with new development strategies like the “Belt and Road” and “Going Global”. Zhan stressed the need for enterprises to focus on optimizing and complying with value propositions. He suggested that companies should evolve their “Going Global” strategies from merely exporting products to enhancing production capacity, leading to a comprehensive transformation of business models. Zhan also mentioned the importance of leveraging advantages to offer flexible and modularized “Cloud, Network, Security” DICT services, and utilizing technologies like AI to empower enterprises and create tailored application scenarios for different industries, ultimately generating new value for businesses.

Furthermore, CITIC Telecom CPC and China Entercom have partnered with CITIC Dicastal, a prominent member of CITIC Group's advanced intelligent manufacturing division and a top global producer of aluminum wheels. Together, they have introduced a new initiative called the "AI+" Action Plan to work together on creating a large-scale business model for aluminum parts used in automobiles.

As the pioneer in the aluminum wheel industry, CITIC Dicastal is committed to promoting advanced, sustainable, and environmentally friendly development. They are actively participating in the "Belt and Road" Initiative and supporting Chinese companies in expanding globally. By enhancing production efficiency and intelligence, the entire smart manufacturing industry chain will be upgraded. China Entercom brings "AI+ Security" capabilities to the table, allowing for real-time response alerts and global connectivity for CITIC Dicastal's factories. This collaboration also focuses on monitoring information security threats globally, particularly in the Belt and Road region. These efforts strengthen information security and usher in a new era for the industry.

The "China-France Corridor" is promoting the growth of new digitalization initiatives.

The main highlight of CITIC Group's exhibit area is the "China-France Corridor", which displays the accomplishments of CITIC Telecom in supporting businesses in China and France. According to Mr. Dickson Ip, the Chief Technology Officer of CITIC Telecom, this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France. Europe is also a key area for CITIC Telecom's resource allocation. As a result, they have created the "China-France Corridor" exhibit to showcase the advancements in digital innovation resulting from the cooperation between the two countries.

Over the years, CITIC Telecom has strengthened its partnerships with French businesses and has achieved success in supporting them and helping them enter the Chinese market. This collaboration spans across various industries, including luxury brands, automotive parts manufacturers, media companies, and professional services providers. Through its integrated platform of "Cloud, Network, Security", CITIC Telecom has facilitated the entry of numerous prestigious French companies into China, allowing them to establish a presence, expand their operations, and offer their services in the country. Additionally, CITIC Telecom is dedicated to assisting Chinese companies in expanding internationally and accessing the French market by offering comprehensive ICT resources and local technical support. This initiative aims to create a secure and efficient connection between Chinese and French businesses, ultimately contributing to the growth of the global digital economy.

One example of how AI can be effectively integrated into corporate business is seen in a project by a multinational manufacturing company. The China Entercom team is using AI and a big data platform to create a material forecasting solution for the customer's global supply chain. This solution aims to lower costs and increase efficiency by analyzing market trends, past sales data, seasonal patterns, and economic indicators to predict changes in market demand. The team is working towards improving the accuracy of the forecasting system to more than 80% within the next 6 months.

Mr. Dickson Ip mentioned that CITIC Telecom aims to serve as a connector by utilizing new digital technologies to discover potential partnerships with French companies in areas like smart manufacturing, smart retail, and smart cities.
