Maximizing Space: ShowMeCables’ New 23-Inch-Wide, Open-Frame Server Racks for Efficient Equipment Storage

ShowMeCables, a brand under Infinite Electronics that specializes in wired and wireless connectivity products, has launched a new series of open-frame server racks that are 23 inches wide. These racks can hold both standard EIA 19-inch-wide equipment and 23-inch components commonly used in data centers, server rooms, telecommunications, IT, and A/V installations.

There are 14 different types of racks available in three styles: four-post floor racks, two-post floor racks, and two-post wall-mount racks. The floor racks have options for vertical capacities of 25U, 42U, or 45U, and can come with either 12-24 screws for threaded holes or M6 screws and cage nuts for square holes. All of these new racks are constructed from cold-rolled steel and have a black electro-static powder coating.

The four-post floor racks are designed with a strong base capable of supporting up to 881 pounds of equipment. They feature two rear rack rails for added stability and numerous attachment points for cable management devices. The open-frame design of the rack provides protection for gear from all sides while allowing for airflow and easy access.

The 23-inch two-post floor racks from ShowMeCables are more compact and maneuverable compared to the four-post models. Despite their smaller size, they are built with strong materials and can support up to 750 pounds of equipment reliably.

In addition to the floor-standing models, the new 23-inch-wide product line also features two open-frame wall-mount server racks, available in 6U or 9U sizes. Each rack has two mounting rails in the front and can support up to 100 pounds of equipment with a maximum depth of 24 inches. These racks are perfect for installing networking equipment, both large and small, in small spaces where floor space is scarce. They are constructed from cold-rolled steel and use threaded 12-24 screws for mounting components.

Every model comes with screws for mounting. ShowMeCables offers a variety of accessories to enhance the functionality of open-frame server racks, such as rack-mount drawers, shelves, spacers, and cable managers. Additionally, there are brackets available for mounting a 19-inch-wide component in a 23-inch-wide rack space.

According to Product Line Manager Tim Houghton, open-frame server racks help to keep components cool and easily accessible for quick maintenance. He also mentioned that the 23-inch-wide racks have the added advantage of being able to accommodate components of all sizes, both current and future ones.

The latest 23-inch-wide open-frame server racks from ShowMeCables are currently in stock and ready to be shipped out immediately.
