electronica China is a prominent trade fair in China that showcases innovative electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, stated that they expect interest in their reed relay products for instrumentation and ATE from various industries and applications at electronica China. These include mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical electronics, EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation.
Pickering's Series 144 reed relays are designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors and offer higher power capabilities compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, the Series 144 reed relays can handle up to 2 Amps for power delivery of up to 60 Watts, or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. These relays also have high-voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. The Series 144 is Pickering's smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 Watts, offering both high-power and low-level switching capabilities. It is a suitable alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its exceptional low-level performance and high isolation advantages.
