Pickering Electronics to Showcase New High-Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024 Booth #E7-7838

Check out the latest high-power reed relays from Pickering Electronics at the electronica China exhibition in Shanghai from July 8th to 10th, 2024. Stop by booth #E7-7838 to see their products.

Pickering Electronics, a top manufacturer of reed relays known for their high performance, will be presenting their full range of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE), and semiconductor testing at booth #E7-7838 during electronica China 2024. This event is part of Messe München's electronica series, which also includes shows in Munich and India, and will be held from July 8th to 10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China. Among the products showcased will be their newest high-power reed relays, the Series 144.

electronica China is the top trade fair in China for new electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. It was established in 2002 and brings together 50,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors in a 60,000 square meter exhibition space. The event includes forums and programs that showcase the latest market trends and technologies. With a total of 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors across electronica's global exhibition network in Munich, China, and India, there are abundant opportunities for businesses to connect and grow.

Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, stated that they expect various industries and applications to show interest in their reed relay products at electronica China. These sectors include mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical devices, electric vehicle charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation. Pickering is constantly improving its reed relay offerings for instrumentation and automated test equipment.

Pickering's Series 144 reed relays are designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors and offer higher power capabilities compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, Series 144 reed relays can handle up to 2 Amps of switching current, delivering up to 60 Watts of power or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. These relays also have high-voltage capabilities, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. Despite being Pickering's smallest miniature SIP reed relay, Series 144 can handle power ratings up to 80 Watts. It is able to effectively switch higher power while maintaining exceptional low-level performance, making it a suitable option for applications that require both high-power and low-level switching capabilities. Additionally, Series 144 serves as a good alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its outstanding low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

Pickering offers a wide variety of reed relays that are designed to meet the needs of various applications such as testing semiconductor devices, circuit boards, cables, electric vehicles, medical equipment, solar energy systems, scientific research, and high voltage testing instruments.

Pickering Group will be presenting modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies for electronic testing and verification at electronica China 2024. These technologies are from Pickering Interfaces, the switching and simulation division, and cables and connectors from Pickering Connect will also be highlighted.
