Red Lion Unveils N-Tron NT116: A High-Performance 16-Port Industrial Ethernet Switch for Harsh Environments
Red Lion has introduced the N-Tron NT116, a 16-port industrial Ethernet switch designed for tough industrial settings. This switch offers exceptional performance and reliability in challenging environments.
Red Lion, a company that creates advanced technologies to help industrial companies access, connect, and display their data, is excited to introduce the N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. This switch is specifically designed for industrial use, providing reliable performance for crucial applications in tough environments.
The NT116 unmanaged switch is a reliable and high-performing device used for data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control. It is small in size and has 16 copper ports with high performance capabilities. The unit is housed in a durable metal enclosure suitable for industrial use. The NT116 is resistant to shock and vibration, with all ports equipped with ESD and surge protection. It has a high MTBF rating of 1.2 million hours and operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C in a compact design.
The NT116 offers strong network support with the ability to handle communications at full speed of up to 3.2 Gb/s throughput. It utilizes store-and-forward technology and can operate in both full and half duplex modes. Redundancy is provided with two power inputs ranging from 10-49 VDC.
The N-Tron NT116 is an upgraded version of the 116TX unmanaged industrial ethernet switch from Red Lion. Along with meeting IEEE 802.3 standards and being certified for marine, railway, and rolling stock use, this new switch also has UL certifications for Ordinary and Hazardous locations, as well as ATEX and IECEx certification.
The N-Tron NT116 by Red Lion simplifies the gathering of important performance data. With its tough and durable design, it can withstand the harsh conditions commonly found in factory floor control networks, as well as in industries such as oil and gas, utilities, wastewater treatment, alternative energy, rail, intelligent traffic control, and transportation.
Diane Davis, a Product Manager, stated that when industrial equipment operators and business leaders are able to easily and quickly access their data, they can get more benefit from it. The N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial ethernet switch is designed to reduce downtime and increase productivity, ultimately enhancing efficiency and boosting operational performance.
