Red Lion Unveils N-Tron NT116: A High-Performance Industrial Ethernet Switch for Rugged Environments
Red Lion has introduced the N-Tron NT116, a 16-port industrial Ethernet switch designed for tough working conditions. This switch offers exceptional performance and reliability in challenging industrial settings.
Red Lion, a company that creates new technologies to help industrial businesses access, connect, and view their data, is excited to introduce the N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. This switch is specifically designed for industrial environments that require reliable performance for critical applications in tough conditions.
The NT116 unmanaged switch is a reliable and high-performance tool for data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control. It is small in size and comes with 16 high-performance copper ports (10/100BaseTX RJ45) in a durable industrial metal casing. The NT116 is designed to withstand shock and vibration, with all ports equipped with ESD and surge protection. Users can enjoy a high MTBF rating of 1.2 million hours in a slim and space-saving design that can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.
The NT116 offers strong network support by allowing for communication at up to 3.2 Gb/s throughput. It utilizes store-and-forward technology and can operate in both full and half duplex modes. Redundancy is ensured with two 10-49 VDC power inputs.
The N-Tron NT116 is an upgraded version of Red Lion's 116TX unmanaged industrial ethernet switch. Along with meeting the standards of IEEE 802.3, it is also certified for use in marine, railway, and rolling stock environments. The switch is approved for UL Ordinary and Hazardous locations, as well as ATEX and IECEx certification.
The N-Tron NT116 by Red Lion simplifies the collection of important performance data. Its sturdy and tough construction ensures it can handle the harsh conditions commonly encountered in factory floor control networks, as well as in industries like oil and gas, utilities, wastewater treatment, alternative energy, rail, intelligent traffic control, and transportation.
According to Product Manager Diane Davis, having easy and fast access to data for industrial equipment operators and business leaders allows them to get more value from it. The N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial ethernet switch is designed to reduce downtime and increase throughput, ultimately enhancing efficiency and operational performance.
