STMicroelectronics will be showcasing their cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions for Automotive, Industrial, Personal Electronics, and Cloud Infrastructure at electronica China 2024. They are a leading global semiconductor company that serves a wide range of electronics applications. The exhibition will take place from July 8-10 at Booth E4.4600, with the theme "Our technology starts with You". ST will present a range of interactive demos and advanced solutions, specifically designed to meet the changing needs of their customers and the market.

In the field of automotive electronics, ST has more than 30 years of experience and is known for being a reliable and innovative partner in the development of smart e-mobility. ST offers a range of solutions that cover all aspects of e-mobility, from electric powertrains to digital vehicle platforms, helping to make electric transportation safer, more sustainable, and more advanced. At the electronica China event, ST will be showcasing two electric vehicle models to demonstrate their complete automotive solutions. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore ST's various applications for car electrification and digitalization, including Powertrain for Electric Vehicles (EV), Chassis and Safety, Body and Convenience, and Telematics and Infotainment.

In China's automotive market, there is a growing focus on electrification, particularly in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment. This has led to a heightened demand for convenient charging solutions for NEVs. ST has introduced a new automotive-charging solution that combines an On Board Charger (OBC) and DC-DC converter using STPOWER products. This solution is designed to be compatible with various power levels, such as 6.6kW, 11kW, and even 22kW. It utilizes ST's Stellar E1 40nm microcontroller technology, based on the ARM architecture, to provide high efficiency and reliability. This technology includes powerful and flexible computing cores, rich analog components, and the highest level of functional safety.

ST will be presenting a new product at electronica China called the ADAS – Intelligent Front View Camera Solution, which was created in partnership with other companies. This solution includes various technologies from ST, such as the SPC58NN automotive microcontroller unit and the L9396 System Basis Chip. By using both a microcontroller unit and a System Basis Chip, customers can ensure their advanced ADAS products meet the high safety standards of ASIL-D.

In response to growing concerns about climate change and rising energy expenses, various stakeholders worldwide, including governments, businesses, and individuals, are placing greater emphasis on implementing environmentally friendly and sustainable practices in the industrial sector. ST is leading the way in promoting a more sustainable future by creating eco-friendly solutions through sustainable methods. At electronica China, attendees can experience a unique "energy-wall" display showcasing a comprehensive hybrid energy system. This exhibit demonstrates the entire energy conversion process, from production and storage to distribution and consumption, using a variety of components like PV solar panels, inverters, a Battery Management System (BMS), a two-way energy storage system, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

Having a dependable and effective power supply is extremely important for data centers that handle AI and cloud tasks. ST utilizes advanced technologies like STPOWER Gen3 SiC MOSFETs and silicon transistors like high voltage MOSFETs and IGBTs, galvanic isolation gate drivers, precise op amps, current sensing amplifiers, and high-performance MCUs to present solutions that focus on enhancing energy efficiency, reducing consumption, and lowering carbon emissions.

The use of Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) technology has become common in emerging industries like solar power and energy storage. At the electronica China event, ST will showcase their AFCI solution, which uses advanced AI algorithms based on the STM32H7 and STM32G4 microcontrollers to quickly detect arc faults. By incorporating AI into the STM32 technology, the accuracy of fault detection is improved, and false alarms are reduced compared to traditional methods. Customer feedback and continuous improvement of the STM32 AFCI 2.0 algorithm can further enhance the accuracy of the detection results.

The use of NFC technology in smartphones has become widespread, leading many brands to use it to improve customer engagement and loyalty. Luxury brands and high-value products are utilizing secure NFC tag solutions to prevent counterfeiting. ST has introduced a new ST25TA-E NFC tag chip with advanced security features, including on-chip ECDSA capabilities and compatibility with Blockchain standards. The ST25TA-E also includes an ECC cryptographic engine for a more secure digital-signature solution, which can help with product-identity verification and digital twinning.

Unveiled at the electronica China event, ST has released a new third-generation dual full-scale MEMS pressure sensor that is enclosed in a sealed, cylindrical package and can be easily mounted on a surface. The sensor is being demonstrated in a solution that offers both high accuracy and low energy consumption, making it ideal for measuring water depth and altitude for IoT, sports, and wearable devices. It is equipped with a ceramic substrate that is highly resistant to liquid penetration and a durable potting gel that has been used successfully in automotive applications to safeguard the internal circuitry.

Enhancing the user experience is essential for ST's ongoing innovation efforts. The smart-cup detection showcased at electronica China utilizes ST FlightSense Time-of-Flight technology to accurately detect and measure cups of different sizes, shapes, and materials. Additionally, it can determine the position of the cups and the liquid level inside them, thanks to the Compact Normalized Histograms feature. This technology allows users to use cups of any size or shape without having to worry about spills caused by poor fit.

We will be showcasing a binocular 3D camera that utilizes our newly launched ST BrightSense global-shutter image sensors. These sensors are now available on the open market, making this innovative technology accessible to everyone. We have already delivered over 1 billion image sensors to specific partners before releasing them to the public.

At electronica China, ST will have experts giving 6 informative presentations on various advanced topics that are influencing the future of technology. These presentations will cover a wide range of cutting-edge subjects, providing in-depth insights into the latest trends and innovations.
