Pickering Electronics to Showcase New High Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024

Check out the latest high-power reed relays from Pickering Electronics at the electronica China event in Shanghai from July 8th-10th, 2024. Stop by booth #E7-7838 to see their products in person.

Pickering Electronics, a top producer of high performance reed relays, will be exhibiting at electronica China 2024. They will be showcasing their wide range of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, ATE, and semiconductor testing, including their newest addition, the Series 144 high-power reed relays. The event is part of Messe München's electronica series, which also includes shows in Munich and India, and will be held from July 8th to 10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.

electronica China is the primary trade fair in China for cutting-edge electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. It was established in 2002 and draws in approximately 50,000 attendees who have the opportunity to connect with over 1,100 exhibitors in a 60,000 square meter exhibition space. The event also includes top-notch forums and supporting programs that showcase the most recent market trends and technologies. With a total of over 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors participating in electronica's global exhibition network in Munich, China, and India, businesses have ample opportunities for growth and networking.

Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, stated that they expect electronica China to generate interest from various industries and applications such as mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical devices, electric vehicle charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation due to Pickering's ongoing enhancements in their reed relay offerings for instrumentation and ATE.

Designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors, Pickering's Series 144 is a line of single-in-line reed relays that can handle higher power levels compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, Series 144 reed relays can switch currents of up to 2 Amps, allowing for power delivery of up to 60 Watts or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. These relays also have high voltage capabilities, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. Series 144 is the smallest miniature SIP reed relay from Pickering, with a power rating up to 80 Watts. It offers both high-power and low-level switching capabilities, making it a great choice for applications that require both. Additionally, it can be used as an alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

Pickering offers a wide variety of high-performance reed relays that are suitable for a range of applications such as mixed-signal semiconductor testers, in-circuit test equipment, high-end cable testers, backplane testers, electric vehicles, medical electronics, solar energy, large-scale physics experiments, and high voltage instrumentation.

Pickering Group will be presenting their modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies for electronic testing and verification at electronica China 2024. They will also be showcasing cables and connectors from their interconnect division, Pickering Connect.
