Pickering Electronics Unveils New High-Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024

Pickering Electronics will be showcasing their latest high power reed relays at electronica China 2024. Attendees can visit their booth #E7-7838 in Shanghai from July 8th-10th, 2024 to learn more.

Pickering Electronics, a top producer of high-performance reed relays, will be displaying its wide selection of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE), and semiconductor testing at booth #E7-7838 at electronica China 2024. The event is part of Messe München's electronica series, which also includes shows in Munich and India. The exhibition will be held from July 8th to 10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. Pickering Electronics will be highlighting its newest high-power reed relays, Series 144, at the event.

electronica China is a prominent trade fair in China that focuses on showcasing innovative electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. Established in 2002, the event draws approximately 50,000 attendees and brings together more than 1,100 exhibitors in a 60,000 square meter exhibition space. electronica China offers top-notch forums and support programs that showcase the most recent market trends and technologies. With over 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors participating in electronica's global exhibition network in Munich, China, and India, businesses have access to numerous opportunities for growth.

Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, mentioned that they expect a lot of interest in their reed relay products for instrumentation and ATE at electronica China. This interest is anticipated from various industries and uses, such as mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical electronics, EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation.

The Series 144 from Pickering is a line of single-in-line reed relays specifically designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors. Unlike traditional dry SIL reed relays, the Series 144 can handle higher power levels. While standard dry relays are typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, the Series 144 reed relays can switch currents of up to 2 Amps, delivering power of up to 60 Watts or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. These relays also have a high voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. Despite its small size, the Series 144 is Pickering's most powerful miniature SIP reed relay, combining high-power switching with low-level performance. It is a great option for applications requiring both high-power and low-level switching. Additionally, it can be used as an alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its exceptional low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

Pickering offers a wide variety of high-quality reed relays that are suitable for a range of uses such as testing semiconductor devices, in-circuit testing, cable testing, backplane testing, electric vehicles, medical equipment, solar energy applications, large-scale scientific experiments, and high voltage measurement instruments.

Pickering Group will be presenting their modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies at electronica China 2024. These technologies are used for electronic testing and verification. In addition, they will also be showcasing cables and connectors from their interconnect division, Pickering Connect.
