Pickering Electronics to Showcase New High-Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024

Pickering Electronics will be showcasing their latest high power reed relays at electronica China 2024. Attendees can visit their booth #E7-7838 at the event in Shanghai from July 8th to 10th, 2024.

Pickering Electronics, a top producer of high performance reed relays, will be presenting their wide selection of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, ATE, and semiconductor testing at booth #E7-7838 at electronica China 2024. This event is a part of Messe München's electronica series, which also includes events in Munich and India, and will be held from July 8th to 10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. The featured product at the showcase will be their latest high-power reed relays from the Series 144.

electronica China is the top trade fair in China for new electronic parts, systems, applications, and solutions. It was established in 2002 and brings in about 50,000 attendees who can interact with over 1,100 exhibitors in a 60,000 square meter exhibition space. The event also includes high-quality forums and programs that showcase the most recent market developments and technologies. The electronica global exhibition network, which includes events in Munich, China, and India, has seen a total of over 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors, offering numerous business opportunities.

Robert King, the Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, stated that they expect a lot of interest in their reed relay products for instrumentation and ATE at the electronica China event. They believe that various industries and applications, such as mixed-signal semiconductor testing, medical electronics, EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation, will be interested in their offerings.

Designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors, Pickering's Series 144 is a collection of single-in-line reed relays that can handle higher power levels compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, the Series 144 reed relays offer much higher capabilities. They can switch currents of up to 2 Amps, allowing for power delivery of up to 60 Watts or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. In addition, these relays have a high-voltage capacity, capable of switching voltages of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. Series 144 is Pickering's smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 Watts. It combines the ability to switch higher power efficiently with excellent performance at low levels, making it a great choice for applications that require both high-power and low-level switching capabilities. These relays also offer a viable alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to their outstanding low-level performance and high isolation benefits.

Pickering offers a wide variety of high-quality reed relays that are suitable for a range of uses, such as semiconductor testing equipment, cable testers, electric vehicle testing, medical devices, solar power applications, research in physics, and instruments that measure high voltage.

During electronica China 2024, Pickering Group will display signal switching and sensor simulation technologies for electronic testing and verification from its divisions, Pickering Interfaces and Pickering Connect. The company will also showcase cables and connectors at the event.
