Pickering Electronics Unveils New High-Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024 Booth #E7-7838

Pickering Electronics will be showcasing their latest high power reed relays at electronica China 2024. You can meet them at booth #E7-7838 in Shanghai from July 8th to 10th, 2024.

Pickering Electronics, a top manufacturer of high-performance reed relays, will be displaying their wide selection of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE), and semiconductor testing at booth #E7-7838 during electronica China 2024. The event is part of Messe München's electronica series and will be held from July 8th to 10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. One of the products they will feature is their newest high-power reed relays, Series 144.

electronica China is the top trade fair in China for new electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. It was established in 2002 and draws in approximately 50,000 attendees who can connect with over 1,100 exhibitors in a 60,000 square meter exhibition space. The event also includes high-quality forums and programs that showcase the most recent market trends and technologies. With a total of over 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors across electronica's global exhibition network in Munich, China, and India, there are plenty of opportunities for businesses to thrive.

Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, mentioned that as Pickering enhances its reed relay products for instrumentation and ATE, they expect to attract attention from a variety of industries and uses at electronica China. These include mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical devices, electric vehicle charging, monitoring of solar cells, and high voltage instrumentation.

Designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors, Pickering's Series 144 is a collection of single-in-line reed relays that can handle higher power levels compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are usually rated at 0.5 amps at 10 watts, the Series 144 reed relays can switch currents of up to 2 amps and deliver power of up to 60 watts, or 1 amp for up to 80 watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 amps. They also have a high-voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. The Series 144 is Pickering's smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 watts. It offers both high-power switching and low-level performance, making it suitable for applications that require both capabilities. Additionally, it can be used as an alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its exceptional low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

Pickering offers a wide selection of high-quality reed relays that are suitable for various uses, such as mixed-signal semiconductor testers, in-circuit testing devices, advanced cable testers, backplane testers, electric vehicles, medical electronic devices, solar energy applications, large-scale physics experiments, and high voltage instrumentation.

Pickering Group will be presenting their modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies at electronica China 2024. These technologies are used for electronic testing and verification and are part of their divisions: Pickering Interfaces for switching and simulation, and Pickering Connect for cables and connectors.
