Pickering Electronics Unveils New High-Power Reed Relays at electronica China 2024

Pickering Electronics will be showcasing their latest high power reed relays at electronica China 2024 in Shanghai from July 8th to 10th. Make sure to visit their booth #E7-7838 to see the new products.

Pickering Electronics, a top producer of high-performance reed relays, will be displaying its wide selection of reed relays designed for advanced instrumentation, ATE, and semiconductor testing at booth #E7-7838 at electronica China 2024. This event is part of Messe München's electronica series, which also includes events in Munich and India, and will be held from July 8th-10th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. One of the highlights of their showcase will be the latest high-power reed relays from the Series 144.

electronica China is a prominent trade show in China that showcases innovative electronic components, systems, applications, and solutions. Since its establishment in 2002, the event has drawn approximately 50,000 attendees and facilitated connections with more than 1,100 exhibitors within a 60,000 square meter exhibition area. In addition to the exhibition, electronica China offers high-quality forums and programs that focus on the latest market trends and technologies. With a total of over 5,800 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors participating in electronica's global exhibition network across Munich, China, and India, there are extensive opportunities for businesses to thrive.

Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, mentioned that they expect to see interest at electronica China from various industries and applications as they enhance their reed relay products for instrumentation and ATE. These sectors include mixed-signal semiconductor testing, signal switching in medical electronics, EV charging, monitoring solar cells, and high voltage instrumentation.

Designed for testing mixed signal semiconductors, Pickering's Series 144 consists of single-in-line reed relays that can handle higher power levels compared to traditional dry SIL reed relays. While standard dry relays are usually rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts, the Series 144 reed relays offer greater capabilities, with a switching current of up to 2 Amps, allowing for power delivery of up to 60 Watts or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, and a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. These relays also have a high-voltage capacity, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off. Series 144 is Pickering's smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 Watts. It excels in switching higher power while maintaining exceptional low-level performance, making it a suitable choice for applications that require both high-power and low-level switching capabilities. Additionally, it can be used as an alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its outstanding low-level performance and high isolation advantages.

Pickering offers a wide variety of high-quality reed relays that are well-suited for a range of uses such as testing semiconductor devices, in-circuit testing, cable testing, backplane testing, electric vehicles, medical equipment, solar power applications, scientific research, and high voltage testing.

Pickering Group will be presenting their modular signal switching and sensor simulation technologies at electronica China 2024. These technologies are used for electronic testing and verification and will be showcased by their divisions, Pickering Interfaces and Pickering Connect. Pickering Group will also be displaying cables and connectors at the event.
